With Lucid CMS, you can hyperlink both Images and Text. Learn how to add both below.
Create a Text Hyperlink
To make any text a hyperlink, first highlight the text you wish to link and click the ’Link’ icon. Then paste the URL to the site or page you want to link to in the URL field and click ‘OK’. You can also choose from a list of pages on your website by clicking the 'or select an existing page' drop down menu.
Any text element of your website can be made into a hyperlink which directs users to another page of your site or to any external website. This can be controlled with the 'Target' tab of the 'Link' window. While it is a good idea to link to other pages of your own site, it is generally not advisable to link off of your site. If another website has good information on a then you should have that information on your website. However, you should never copy and paste anything from any other website and put it on your website. Search engines like Google will rank you lower if you have content that existed on any other website first. Therefore it is always best to rewrite, in your own words, information.
Tip: By default, hyperlinks that you have visited are purple; if you have not been to that page, the hyperlink is blue.
Hyperlink an Image
An image hyperlink is created the same as a text hyperlink. Just as you would select the text you wish to link (above).
To make any image a hyperlink, first highlight the image you wish to link and click the ’Link’ icon. Then paste the target URL to the site or page you want to link to in the URL field. You can choose to either open the link in a new tab, new window, or in the current window then click ‘OK’. You can also choose from a list of pages on your website by clicking the 'or select an existing page' drop down menu. You can preview the changes, then select 'Publish' in the admin toolbar.
